DESCRIPTION

​This is a very thorough, very practical system safety course providing excellent in-depth coverage of topics such as SSMP, SSPP (2 1/2 hours), PHL, PHA, SSHA, SHA, O&SHA (2 hours), FHA, PSSA, SSA, CCA, MEL, software safety, MIL-STD-882, SAE ARP4761, IEC 61508, and DEF STAN 00-56 (HCRQ has extensive experience with all of these standards).  Want to know what's good and what's wrong/missing with MIL-STD-882E?  SAE ARP4761?

Insight into this area is based on over 25 years of experience planning, and executing System Safety Programs for all types of safety-related systems.

What criteria should be applied to determine whether to accept or reject fault tree analyses?  There are 20 attributes to look for.  In a recent survey most fault tree analysts did not come close to answering this question.  If you work for government branches (e.g., FAA, FDA, FRA, DOD, and MOD), clients, auditors, or system integrators, and are a reviewer of contract deliverables,
